This past Saturday marked the culmination of the Fall Harley Saturday Experience, and we couldn’t have done it without your generous support. The day was a celebration of learning, creativity, and community—and a testament to the opportunities you’ve made possible.

Building Bridges Through Baking: Students collaborated with members of the Harley Key Club to bake zucchini muffins, an activity that was about much more than just cooking. It offered students a chance to practice essential skills like measuring and following instructions, while also forming meaningful connections with older students who served as mentors and role models.

Science in Action: In Nature Detectives, students completed their volcano projects, showcasing creativity and scientific curiosity. They explored the science of chemical reactions as their colorful volcanoes erupted, sparking excitement and a sense of accomplishment. These hands-on activities help foster a love for STEM subjects in an engaging way.

Community and Gratitude: Our Friendsgiving potluck lunch, organized by Horizons educators, was a beautiful moment of togetherness. Students and staff shared a delicious meal, reflected on their growth throughout the program, and celebrated the friendships they’ve formed. Moments like these build a strong sense of belonging and community among our students.

Showcasing Success: The Learning Showcase and Bake Sale brought students, families, and staff together to celebrate the achievements of the Fall session. Students shared their projects and skills with pride, while the Bake Sale added a fun and interactive component that encouraged teamwork, creativity, and entrepreneurial skills.
